The body oriented approach is the core of our project. The body is the starting point in the process of personal development. We start from the promise that learning with and through the body produces the best results in the direction of our aim: migrant women improving their own lives. Mind4Body means: •connecting body and mind •getting aware of feelings and body sensations•mobilizing physical energy and feeling strength•finding a good balance between tension and relaxation•learning based on experiences made with the bodyThe body-oriented approach uses diverse techniques to increase the flow of energy through the body and to connect body-experiences with emotions and mind:•movement (dancing, marching, stretching)•breathing exercise (charging and letting go) •voice-work (singing, shouting, screaming)•touching (supporting someone’s back, clapping shoulders)•meditation (body-scan, visualization) •relaxation techniques (massage, mindfulness)
